Autonomous Systems Architecture

In autonomous machine economies, software cannot blindly charge buyer wallets before verifying downstream server capacity and hardware security. Corrente Labs architects the hardware-attested pipelines that isolate execution, guarantee mathematical determinism, and clear value across decentralized financial rails.

Executive Brief // The Two-Phase Solution

The Problem: Traditional web services charge payment before delivering compute, causing a 38.5% failure rate in multi-agent workflows due to memory outages and unresponsive APIs.
The Corrente Solution: We invert the transaction. AI agents lock funds in cryptographic escrow, execute tasks inside tamper-proof hardware enclaves (TEEs), and only release payment when hardware proves the job was completed flawlessly.

01 // THE TWO-PHASE INVERSION PROTOCOL
Solving The Pre-Settlement Failure Problem

Eliminating The 38.5% Agent Failure Rate

Conventional Web2 and Web3 agent architectures suffer from a critical sequencing flaw: they execute on-chain payment before confirming downstream API compute capacity. When an AI agent pays for GPU inference, oracle data, or storage, any server crash, VRAM exhaustion, or network timeout results in trapped funds, transaction revert penalties, or unrecoverable capital. Industry telemetry reveals this flawed sequence produces a 38.5% pre-settlement failure rate.

The Corrente Inversion (U.S. Patent Application #64/143,781): Corrente Labs inverts this middleware sequence through a decoupled two-phase authorization protocol:

PHASE 1 [Client Pre-Authorization] ➔ Client signs zero-gas EIP-3009 / XRPL authorization (No funds move) PHASE 2 [Enclave Proof & Settle] ➔ Compute node executes in TEE + produces valid quote BEFORE clearing funds

If the compute node fails, runs out of memory, or fails hardware attestation, the transaction immediately aborts without a single cent ever leaving the buyer's wallet.

02 // MULTI-SILICON HARDWARE PIPELINE
Confidential Computing & Hardware Proofs

Zero-Trust Execution Inside Silicon Enclaves

Autonomous AI models handling financial decisions, private trading keys, and sensitive enterprise prompts cannot run in plaintext cloud memory. Corrente Labs isolates all execution inside hardware-attested Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs):

CPU Enclaves

Intel TDX & SGX

Hardware Trust Domains with real-time Multi-Key Total Memory Encryption (MKTME). Cloud hypervisors and host root administrators are physically prevented from inspecting private keys or execution logic.

Confidential AI

NVIDIA GPU CC

Hopper H100 and Blackwell B200 encrypted GPU VRAM compute. Protects proprietary AI model weights and high-speed financial inference from memory-dump extraction attacks.

On-Chain Proofs

MRTD Attestation

Enclaves generate unforgeable cryptographic measurement hashes (MRTD/RTMR) that prove software integrity directly to blockchain smart contracts before clearing funds.

03 // DETERMINISTIC SETTLEMENT RAILS
Standardized Protocols & Clearing Networks

The Multi-Rail Settlement Architecture

Once execution is verified inside hardware enclaves, transactions clear through three standardized conduits:

Conduit I // Determinism

RFC 8785 Canonical JCS

100% compliant JSON Canonicalization Scheme (24/24 passing formal test vectors) ensuring zero payload malleability across distributed HTTP proxies.

Conduit II // Real-Time Data

Flare FTSO v2 Oracles

Sub-second decentralized price feeds and native cryptographic random entropy delivering verified financial reality to autonomous agents.

Conduit III // Instant Clearing

XRP Ledger Channels

Deterministic 3-to-5 second global value settlement and conditional escrow payment channels with negligible gas costs and zero counterparty risk.
